Between two sizes? On closed styles — boots, loafers, sneakers, walking shoes — take the larger size. On open sandals take the smaller one, so your foot does not sit over the edge.

Men’s and women’s scales are different. A men’s 9 is not a women’s 9 — match on foot length, not on the number.
How to measure
Your foot
- Put a sheet of paper flat against a wall and stand on it, heel touching the wall.
- Mark the paper at the tip of your longest toe — that is not always the big toe.
- Measure from the wall edge of the paper to the mark.
- Measure both feet and use the larger one.
- Do it at the end of the day, when your feet are at their widest.
Your body
- Bust or chest — around the fullest part, tape level all the way round and not pulled tight.
- Waist — around the narrowest part of your natural waist, above the navel.
- Hip — around the fullest part, roughly 8 in (20 cm) below the waist.
Measure over underwear or a thin top, not over a jumper. Keep the tape snug enough to stay in place but loose enough to slide a finger under.
Women's Twin-Buckle Ruched Slouch Mid-Calf Boots
Boots that are meant to slouch. The build: a mid-calf shaft cut longer than the leg so it settles into soft folds, two round buckle straps (one under the fold-over cuff, one at the ankle), a brushed suede-look finish, a round toe and a block heel of about 2.5 inches. Available in Black, Coffee, Beige, Brown and Grey.
What Makes The Difference
- Slouch That Stays Put. The two buckle straps hold the folds where they fall.
- Steady Block Heel. About 2.5 inches and broad underfoot, so a long day on your feet stays comfortable.
- Round Toe With Room. Space across the ball of the foot instead of a narrow pinch.
- Inside Zip. Easy on and off, no wrestling at the end of the evening.
- Two Heights In One. Pull the shaft up to just under the knee, or push it down into folds at the ankle.
